My interest and involvement in dog rescuing began over 30 years ago. I had lost my grandfather, my best friend and I was at a loss. What I needed was to fill a void & needed to give back like he always did.

I began by volunteering at the local dog shelters, walking the homeless dogs. I would often walk them right before their last hour.

It’s been 30 years and I still remember their names and their faces. I remember the look of happiness and hope when I took them out of the cage. and the look of defeat when I had to put them back in.

I made a promise to those dogs that I would do right by them, that I would honor their memory, when I was able. I would save the lives as many as I could.

In the past 30 years, I’ve been fulfilling that promise. I’ve rescued or assisted in playing a part of rescuing hundreds of dogs.

I’ve saved dogs from local shelters, & high kill and rural shelters. This is all over the United States, & dogs from Romania.

In the last several years, I have rescued as many dogs as I could from the awful dog meat trade in South Korea and China. That is a story of horrors and torture of beautiful animals.

I am an adopter and rescuer of my own 31 dogs. There are 18 shelter dogs from our country, and a street dog from Romania, and 12 dog meat trade survivors from Asia.

My entire life is a dedication to dogs. This is a mission that contends with finances, emotions, and the physical. I have little help & limited financial support.

Taking care of the dogs, & the stress of airline flights & transportation is an effort, but that is part of the whole. Then also foster homes, adopters, rehabilitation, veterinary care & more.
